Organisation and Branding Settings
Summary
Section titled “Summary”Branding settings control your platform’s visual identity: logo, primary colour, custom domain, and workspace URL. They appear across the customer portal, the staff workspace, and outbound communications. The page is owner-only.
For business identity (organisation name, address, phone, email, business category, timezone), see the separate Organisation settings page.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- You are signed in as a user with the settings.organization.manage capability (for organisation) or settings.branding.manage capability (for branding). Typically the Owner role.
- Your organisation has been created in Torqueflow.
A. Organisation Settings
Section titled “A. Organisation Settings”- Click Settings in the main navigation.
- Click Organisation.
- The page shows three independent card sections, each with its own Save button.
Business Details
Section titled “Business Details”| Field | Description |

| Organisation Name | Your business name (required, max 100 characters). |
| Business Phone | Your main phone number. UK or international format (e.g. 01234 567890). |
| Business Email | Your general contact email (e.g. info@yourgarage.com). |
| Business Category | Select from: General Repair & Servicing, MOT Testing Centre, Bodyshop & Paint, Tyre Fitting, Marque Specialist, Fleet & Commercial, Mobile Mechanic, Performance & Tuning, Electric & Hybrid, or Other. |
- Click Save Details.
Address
Section titled “Address”| Field | Description |

| Address Line 1 | Street address. |
| Address Line 2 | Optional second line (apartment, suite, etc.). |
| City | Your city or town. |
| County | Your county. |
| Postcode | Your postcode (e.g. SW1A 1AA). |
| Country | Fixed to United Kingdom (more countries coming soon). |
- Click Save Address.
Timezone
Section titled “Timezone”- Click the timezone dropdown to search or browse timezones.
- Popular timezones appear first: Europe/London, America/New_York, Europe/Paris, Asia/Dubai, America/Los_Angeles, Australia/Sydney.
- All other timezones are grouped by region.
- Each option shows the current UTC offset.
- Click Save Timezone. The button is disabled until you change the value.
B. Branding Settings
Section titled “B. Branding Settings”- Click Settings in the main navigation.
- Click Branding.
- The page shows four sections.
Organisation Logo
Section titled “Organisation Logo”- Upload your logo. Supported formats: PNG, JPG, SVG. Maximum file size: 2 MB.
- Your logo appears on the login page and throughout the application.
Primary Colour
Section titled “Primary Colour”- Select a primary colour using the colour picker.
- This colour is used for buttons, links, and accent elements across your workspace.
Workspace URL
Section titled “Workspace URL”Configure a custom URL for your organisation.
- Choose a subdomain for instant activation (e.g. yourgarage.torqueflow.com).
- Or use your own domain for a fully branded experience. You will need to set up a CNAME DNS record pointing to the provided target.
Preview Note
Section titled “Preview Note”A message confirms that branding changes are visible across your entire workspace, including the login page for your organisation’s domain.
Expected Outcome
Section titled “Expected Outcome”- Organisation details are saved and used on invoices and correspondence.
- The timezone setting affects all date and time displays across the platform.
- Logo and colour changes appear immediately across the application.
- Custom domain or subdomain changes take effect after DNS propagation.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Problem: You cannot access the Organisation or Branding settings page. Cause: Your user role does not have the required capability. Fix: Ask your administrator to assign a role with settings.organization.manage or settings.branding.manage. See the Roles and Permissions guide.
Problem: Logo upload fails. Cause: The file exceeds 2 MB or is not a supported format. Fix: Resize or convert the image to PNG, JPG, or SVG under 2 MB.
Problem: The Save Timezone button is greyed out. Cause: The selected timezone is the same as the current setting. Fix: Select a different timezone. The button enables when the value changes.
Problem: Custom domain is not working. Cause: DNS records have not propagated yet or the CNAME record is incorrect. Fix: Verify your CNAME record points to the target shown in the Workspace URL section. DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to propagate.
- The address set in Organisation settings is your business address for general correspondence. The address on invoices is configured separately under Settings > Finance > Invoice Template.
- The Country field is currently fixed to United Kingdom.
- Branding changes (logo, colour) affect all users in your organisation immediately.
