Using the My Jobs Dashboard

The My Jobs dashboard at /my-jobs is the technician’s home screen. It uses big colour-coded tiles to show what you should be doing right now, what is next, and how the day is going. From here you can clock into your next job in one tap, jump back into the job you are currently on, or switch to the kanban view of all your jobs.

  • You are signed in with a technician account, or with the Can work as technician flag enabled on your staff record.
  • You have at least one appointment assigned to you for today, this week, or upcoming.
  1. Sign in. Technician accounts land on /my-jobs automatically.
  2. The dashboard is a grid of tiles. The top row changes depending on whether you are clocked into a job. Below the tiles are stats and an optional Coming Up section.

The top tile (Working On / Ready to Start)

Section titled “The top tile (Working On / Ready to Start)”
  1. If you are clocked into a job, the top tile is red and shows Working On with the vehicle make/model, the job description, and a live running timer. Tap the tile to jump back to that job card.
  2. If you are not clocked in but have a job scheduled to start within the next hour, the top tile is green and shows Ready to Start with the vehicle and a large play button. Tap the tile to clock in and open the job card in one go. A toast confirms you are clocked in.
  3. If neither applies, the top tile is hidden and the dashboard shows just the navigation tiles below.
  1. Today’s Jobs (blue) - shows the total number of jobs assigned to you today, and how many are still left to do. Tap to open the kanban list view of today’s jobs.
  2. This Week (purple) - tap to open the kanban list view filtered to the week.
  3. Customers (teal) - opens your customer messages inbox.

The dashboard used to have a fourth Parts tile pointing at /my-jobs/parts. The tile was removed because parts work happens inside the job card (see Tracking Parts on the Job Card) - the standalone page added a step instead of saving one. The /my-jobs/parts route still exists as a signpost if you follow an old bookmark, but it just points back at the job card.

  1. Below the tiles are two stat cards:
    • Hours today - your clocked time so far today, formatted as hours and minutes (e.g. “5h 42m”).
    • Jobs done today - count of jobs you have signed off today.
  2. The stats refresh automatically when you clock in, clock out, or sign off a job.
  1. If you have no jobs today but have jobs scheduled later in the week, a Coming Up section appears below the stats. It lists the next three upcoming jobs with vehicle, registration, and the day they are due. Tap any row to open the job card.
  1. On a phone or tablet, pull down from the top of the page to refresh the dashboard. The pull indicator shows Pull to refresh, then Release to refresh once you pull far enough. Releasing reloads the data and shows a “Dashboard refreshed” toast.
  1. The dashboard is the Home view. To see all your jobs as a kanban board grouped by status, tap Today’s Jobs or This Week, or use the view toggle at the top right.
  2. The kanban view has a date-range toggle to switch between Today and This Week.
  1. When you sign off a job, the system returns you to the dashboard automatically so you can pick up the next one. The stats update straight away.
  • You can see at a glance whether you are clocked in, and what your next job is.
  • One tap on the green Ready to Start tile clocks you in and opens the job card.
  • Today’s job count, weekly schedule, parts overview, and customer messages are all reachable in one tap from the dashboard.
  • After signing off a job, you land back on the dashboard and the Jobs done today stat goes up by one.

You followed a bookmark to /my-jobs/parts and it shows a signpost pageThe standalone parts page has been retired - the dashboard tile was removed in May 2026.Use the Parts tab on the relevant job card. The signpost on /my-jobs/parts links you back to My Jobs.
  • The dashboard refreshes itself when your clock-in status changes anywhere in the app, so the Working On tile stays in sync if you clock in from the job card or the header.
  • The “next job within the hour” rule is what controls the Ready to Start tile. Jobs further out appear under Today’s Jobs.
  • The dashboard is the default landing page for technician accounts. If you are an owner or advisor with the Can work as technician flag, you can still access it directly at /my-jobs.
